I WANT TO TELL YOU OF A FAMILY TRADITION THAT BEGAN IN 1871 WHEN DAVID BREMNER MOVED HIS BAKERY FROM CAIRO, ILLINOIS, AFTER THE GREAT FIRE TO CHICAGO WHERE HE SUPPLIED BREAD TO THE FIRE DEVASTED PEOPLE.

NOW, 130 YEARS LATER, THE BREMNER FAMILY IS STILL MAINTAINING  THE TRADITION OF USING ONLY THE FINEST INGREDIENTS IN THEIR PREMIUM LINE OF BREMNER WAFERS.  THE FOURTH  GENERATION MOVED THE COMPANY TO THE MILE HIGH CITY OF DENVER IN 1984.  TODAY,  THE BREMNER BISCUIT COMPANY HAS WALLS FILLED WITH AWARDS.  THEIR BREMNER WAFERS ARE KNOWN AS THE  ONLY CRACKER FOR SHOWCASING THE WORLD’S MOST CHERISHED TASTES.

SOME OF THE FINEST WINERIES, OFFER BREMNER WAFERS TO CLEANSE THE PALATE DURING WINE TASTINGS.  REMEMBERING THEIR FOUNDER’S MOTTO, “WE ACKNOWLEDGE NO SUPERIOR IN THE QUALITY OF OUR GOODS.”  THEY HAVE EXPANDED THEIR LINE OF CRACKERS TO INCLUDE SESAME AND CRACKED WHEAT, DELICATELY BAKED TO A LIGHT, SOPHISTICATED, FLAKY CRUNCH.

WITH THE HOLIDAYS JUST AROUND THE CORNER, IT’S A GOOD TIME TO STOCK UP ON BREMNER WAFERS IN THEIR 4 OUNCE BOXES OR 12 OUNCE TINS, WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO KEEP THOSE SMALL ROUND WAFERS FRESH AS TODAY AND BRIMMING WITH FLAVOR AND SNAP.

THE BREMNER FAMILY REMINDS US THAT THEIR FOUNDER,  DAVID F. BREMNER, USED TO PUT HIS INITIALS D.F.B. ON HIS PRODUCT.   ONE TASTE AND THE PUBLIC DECIDED THE LETTERS STOOD FOR “DAMN FINE BREAD.”    THE INITIALS OF HIS ANCESTORS HAVE CHANGED THROUGH THE YEARS, BUT THE DFB RATING IS STILL MAINTAINED.
